Cave de Sauveterre - Vignerons de Bordeaux

Michel Tounrier was born in Bordeaux in 1942 and was attracted to drawing from a very early age. After a career in the French Air Force he was able to profit from his retirement and to devote himself to painting. A self-taught artist, he specializes in water colours, acrylics and also drawing in red chalk.

His favourite subjects are maritime scenes of the Bassin d’Arcachon, forest landscapes and animal portraits executed in red chalk.

Since 1997 Mincel Tournier has regularly exhibited in La Teste de Buch, Gujan Mestras, Arcachon, Biscarosse, Parentis, Sanguinet, Bordeaux and Floirac. His participation in numerous regional competitions has been rewarded by a Gold Medal in in Floirac in 2003 and a diploma of honour in Parentis in 2004.
