| Our small wine cellar - Exposition |
Gabrielle Furlan became involved at a very early age in her father’s atelier of sculpture: Jean Parrou impassioned by ‘beauty’ – and followed in his footsteps to the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux and then travelled.
New Zealand and then Japan, where she exhibited in December, 2008 in the Museum of Fine Arts in Tokyo, in the temples of Okinawa and in the Royal Palace at Niko. The whole art of Gabrielle rests in the oscillation between dream and reality, roams along the border of the abstract and the figurative.
Her new techniques, based on mineral, vegetable, spices and wines lead us to discover new emotions, whilst leaving a certain power of the imagination and creation to the viewer. Her right as an artist is recognised, she exhibits regularly in France and abroad and her works have already been rewarded with several prizes and distinctions.
Gabrielle Furlan offers more specifically works associated with the world of viticulture and she wishes them to be a homage to the `men of the land’.
