BORDEAUX: a blended wine.
| We, wine growers - Vineyard soil and Sauveterre de Guyenne |
One says that the Bordeaux wine is a composite wine in contrast to wines of new wine-producing countries or wines of countries which trade in wines of a particular grape variety, for example, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
Each grape variety contributes a particular nuance to the final bouquet: subtlety and aroma for the Cabernet Franc, the roundness and fruit for the Merlot, the structure and the perfume for the Cabernet Sauvignon. There is no Bordeaux wine made from a single vine, a Bordeaux wine constitues the subtlety and elegance of a delicious marriage of flavours.
