The Bordeaux vineyards and wine
| We, wine growers - Vineyard soil and Sauveterre de Guyenne |
The Bordeaux vineyards today comprise 120,000 hectares spread over a surface of 213 kilometres long and 105 kilometres wide in Gironde, the largest ‘departement' in France. The geographic situation, richness and varieties of soil and sub-soil and an ideal climate are all trumps which man has, in the course of history, known how to exploit and enhance to make the prestigious vineyards renowned throughout the world.
