Since then, an exceptional succession of sunny days enabled the vine-growers to harvest all their parcels in ideal conditions.
The whites prove to be of an exceptional quality. The aromatic potential of the Sauvignon grapes is already fully in evidence.
The Semillon and Muscadelle grapes, made golden by the sun, were picked at perfect maturity.
The Merlot grapes, harvested in mid-September, were also able to benefit from this magnificent season. The degrees of alcohol are naturally elevated, attaining regularly 14° as the sugar became concentrated in the grapes during those final weeks.
The vine-growers were able to wait until the 14th October to harvest the last parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon full of rich, well-coloured juice.
In depth, complexity and concentration, these are grapes of an exceptional quality – not seen before in the memory of many vine-growers.
