Cave de Sauveterre - Vignerons de Bordeaux

In 1934, a period of serious economic crisis, 126 wine growers united to create the inter-communal wine cooperative of Sauveterre de Guyenne. For this purpose they bough the wine cellar of a capacity, at that time, of 20,000 hectolitres from a wine dealer.

The vine growing co-operators use the strength of their solidarity to overcome difficult economic periods and to face dramatic climatic risks, such as the frost of 1956.
